DHEA Sulphate (DHEAS) is a hormone produced by the adrenal gland in your body. It helps in the production of other hormones like Testosterone & Estrogen. This test is useful to assess excessive hormone production from adrenal gland. Along with other steroid hormones, DHEAS measurement helps to diagnose Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH).Measures DHEAS levels in serum- Helps assess adrenal gland function- Supports diagnosis of androgen excess disorders (eg, PCOS, adrenal tumors)- Aids in hormonal imbalance evaluation.
